Megan Rowe, M.S.W.
I completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) placement with Dalhousie Student Health & Wellness in Winter 2024 and returned to the team in Fall 2024 after completing MSW degree at 果冻视频. I am currently a PhD student in the Health program at Dalhousie.
I approach counselling through a critical clinical lens, with attention to the social, cultural, and structural contexts that shape experiences of distress and wellbeing. My practice integrates narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), liberatory harm reduction, and critical perspectives on mental health. I am especially interested in the stories people tell about their lives and how these shape identity and possibility. I see the therapeutic relationship as foundational; I believe practitioner and student each bring important knowledge and expertise, and that care is most effective when it is collaborative and co-created.
